It's taken me a bit longer than I expected, mainly because I've been working on other things at the same time, but my mips are ready now.
Get the mips here:
From the readme:
New-look 16-bit mips for East London GPL Track
East London is a fantastic realisation of a 1960's South African track, created by Jonathan Merry, and one of the most challenging third-party short tracks so far released for GPL. The original mips look great, but my overriding feeling was that they didn't really reflect the proper look of a track based in such a hot climate, so I thought to myself "I'd love to see how this track would look with a more realistic "parched" look", and here is the result.
I've basically used all the original mips and re-edited them to various degrees, either by lightening the tarmac, or recolouring the grass, etc. All of the mips are 16-bit, apart from the starting grid mip, which I just editied for transparency, so the tarmac would show through.
Here is a list of the modified mips:
bushes01, bushes02, bushes03, bushes04
Just unzip the files into your "eastlndn" folder. The original Papyrus mips are untouched, since they reside in the original .dat file. To uninstall the mips, delete all files ending in ".mip", or refer to the above list.
